The 1922 building, which housed the first courthouse of the region, today takes pride in being recognized as Le Vieux Palais. In addition to offering visitors a chance to discover local artists, Le Vieux Palais also displays works by the internationally recognized painter and hosts exhibits in the Historium section of the building, promoting Abitibi’s beginnings.
