Maison Hector-Authier (House)
Built in 1912, the Hector-Authier House is an important legacy to the entire Abitibi region. Home to the illustrious Hector Authier, nicknamed the Father of Abitibi, the Hector-Authier House is now an interpretive center on the life and work of its past owner. Refurbished in the style of the 1930s, the house transports the visitors back to the times of the early settlement in Abitibi, and introduces them to its inhabitants and to the many achievements of Mr. Authier.
